An honest and objective review without too much fluff either way.

any specific reason for this?Is the the reviewer employed by Fuji I wonder?
I figured if it was a marketing manipulation it would have been a glowing review. For now it seems to point out at 3 limitations.I'm getting the feeling that Fuji's marketing is manipulating a lot of this stuff, and I don't like it
I agree. Blown highlights and overexposed. But perhaps we can attribute these to the in-experiance on the author's part. he has only had the camera for 1 day.The images themselves are some of the least exciting I've seen from the camera.
explanation: 3rd party batteries (same thread)I've read one review in which it was stated that the one of the batteries exploded while charging.
13082 and counting Brian. Cheers! 🙂I've been here for a long time.

Yoda: "I cannot teach him. The boy has no patience."
Obi-Wan: "He will learn patience."
Yoda: "Hmm. Much anger in him, like his father."
Obi-Wan: "Was I any different, when you taught me?"
The images themselves are some of the least exciting I've seen from the camera. A couple definitely appear to be over exposed and that black and white is awful IMO.
Thanks for the link though. 🙂
It looks like a fair and unbiased review.
I've read one review in which it was stated that the one of the batteries exploded while charging. The camera is out, people are using them, and now the reality is setting in. Looks like a nice camera, nice innovations with the viewfinder, some bugs to be worked out. I'm betting there will be an X200 within 18months.

I notice an adapter for 49mm filters, what size does it take without the adapter??
Some kind of male inward-directed bayonet. See p. 100 of the X100 user manual.I notice an adapter for 49mm filters, what size does it take without the adapter??
True and at the risk of sounding uber-philosophical.I think the camera will be fine ... people will tend to over expect initially, after all we've been winding ourselves up for some time over this Fuji!
@_larky, you have a way with words, interesting read
