A few days ago, some guy wanted to sell a 250 GG with matching motor in very good condition on the bay. Couple hours before it was about to end, it was at 36.000€.
He cancelled the auction... maybe because of the fees?!

I'd wager someone made an offer and bought it outright.

Wonder how that IIIf flash conversion and new top plate affects the value?

The mere existence of the Reporter was Leitz's admission that a Leica takes rather a long time to reload. In those days 250 shots without stopping was no doubt ground-breaking. Now we have digital cameras with big SD cards that can go for weeks or months without downloading files.
There is, however, normally an inverse relationship between the number of shots you have available and the quality of the pictures. 5" x 4" photogs rarely waste a shot. I can take 300 pictures with a digital camera and nearly all of them will be instantly forgettable. With film I reckon on a hit rate (i.e. this could go in the album or on a wall) of 33%.

And then there's the issue of trying to process a 100-foot roll of film.
