M8 dust under/between display!?

Greetings!

After a few months of using, i have a good amount of dust under the main display (between glas and display).
The most dirty part is the right half of the display.

I don't like this "situation" but i think it's more a cosmetical than a technial problem...?

As i dont't have any warranty left i'm not sure if i should send it to leica/solms.
Any ideas how much a cleaning would be?
Can the dust cause any serious technical problems if i don't remove it or is it really just a cosmetical thing...?

Both mine have this problem. I think it is just a fact of life.

i had a lot on my camera. i sent it back to leica for cleaning and found that i have the coffee stain on the lcd. keep the dust! better than brown stain that look like a residue of a d0-do.

As long as i can read the menu and settings i'll keep the dust 😉

I understand Leica Germany do not have the LCD screens in stock until the end of June so best hold onto your camera for now.
