Im selling a lot of gear this year to hopefully buy a 4x5 feild camera.
The one format Ive yet to try, the one Ive wanted most all these years.

Actually I'm sort of saving €1000 by not wanting to buy a X100 so I'm budgeting the same amount for other gear purchases. I think it's just fair, isn't it.

I have an M9 now, so no, no 2011 wishlist for me. I think I will get some lenses coded and CLA'd, that's about it.

the indecisive eternity
The reality: I need to quit wasting my time on stupid dead-end jobs, finish my BSc at last, find a decent position to do an MSc in botany/plant ecology. This spring. Photography can wait.
The stupid, limitless gearhead dream:
- Nikon 9000ED scanner
- Mamiya 7 with 43, 80 and 150 or Fuji G690 with 50, 100 and 180
- 90mm tilt-shift, 15mm fisheye and 200/2.8L for the EOS system
- Nice planned trips where I could haul along all this fine gear
- A high-end NEC widescreen monitor
Most probable solution: a battered M4/-2/-P with a half-decent 35mm - just something to tide me over as I tunnel my way through evil mounds of office paperwork, scientific papers on phenotypic plasticity in plants and crappy instant coffee. :bang: :bang: :bang: Or I can blow my savings on CD-s and photobooks instead.

Current Wish List:
1. Olympus EP2 with EVF (I will get this beauty any day now)
2. Negative holders from Better Scanning for improved scanning
3. Film cartridges for film bulk loading (this is simple and cheap)
Add to the above that I am looking forward to arrange a one month trip to Cairo, Egypt. I want to use the EP2 and my Rolleiflex TLR for some portraits there.

28 Cron pre-asph to replace my 28 Biogon
90 Cron, some late small version
magic pill to sustain digital hangover better

realistically? nothing. but that's no fun...
actually possible and feasible - more time to set up my enlarger and print some damn prints again.
within the realm of posibility if i am lucky - another M4-P or M2 or M4-2 to use with colour film or slow film (tried a CL, wasn't really a fan but i'd like to shoot some more slow B&W film this year for portraits).
unrealistic dream - an F1 Noctilux and a BP M4... add an Imacon scanner in there too.

Im waiting for the canon 5d III to come out so the prices will drop on a used 5dII. Yes I am cheap.

As my ancient (2001 G4 Quicksilver) Mac and printer (Epson 1280)have reached the end of the road an iMac (27") and Epson 3880 are on the horizon. Possibly but hopefully not a software upgrade if my Coolscan 8000 doesn't like snow Leopard.

Oh yes...plenty of film!!!

Something to scratch the panorama itch. An Xpan II would be nice; a Horizon more likely. Other than that, time and vision.
