beer.

whisky.

proper scottish whisky. I don't mind lagavulin. I think I have a bit of bruichladdich left, I should end its miserable life.

Are you buying? Then I'll have a Bacardi and coke w/ a twist of lime. Or a GOOD Mint Julep.

If I'm buying, then it's the usual cheep vino rosa in a jelly jar. Sigh.

morning = black Barako coffee a Filipino variety of Liberica
after a long rehearsal, lunch, casual dinner or hanging out with friends = San Miguel Beer (another Filipino product)
special occasions = MaCallan or whatever Chateau XXX well heeled friends serve ;)

I very much enjoy craft beer. I am particularly fond of most North Carolina brewers: Duck-Rabbit, Foothills, Mother Earth. Bell's Brewery in Michigan is also very good.

Stouts and porters are preferred, but I do enjoy a nice ipa from time to time. Has anyone ever had Hopslam by Bell's? Best ipa I've ever had, and one of the best beers I've had.

If I'm drinking liquor, I like Bombay Sapphire or Jameson.

Also, red wine occasionally.

Good thread, btw.

Anything with either caffeine or alcohol in it...then again HCB only drank red wine, and only red wine from France and so I'll have to mend my ways...just to be sure, you know...

Picked myself up a bottle of Oban this afternoon. A nice addition to my single malt collection. Granted a good bourbon goes a long way.

1. More coffee than I can adequately explain.
2. Guinness.
3. Strongbow.
4. Random beers. Blue Moon and Sam Adams feature fairly prominently.
5. Mineral water.

Well, you are missing a choice: tequilla.
So, I didn't vote in the poll.
I do like the whiskeys you offered as choices, though. I think this will be a good "to do"ist!
:D

Living near the Russian border I perhaps should be slurping vodka but usually my drink is red wine.

kubota

...suijyu from time to time, and one hopes at least senjyu
