disclaimer. I stink at scanning.

So I heard about rodinal and I said alright, let's give it a shot. Tmax 400 was on deck, so I loaded two reels in a 4 reel tank. Diluted 1+100, agitate for the first minut and let if stand for an hour. stop, fix, wash, photoflo..
I got some mixed results. I think maybe it might work for some situations and not for others.
These are ones I like.. Only scanned the first 12 frames since it was late and I was tired. It's not my favorite combo for portraits though. May have been bad scans, idk.

Scanning adds another variable, that I don't fully understand yet. It took me a while to get TMax 400 and Rodinal to work well. When I finally did, it was fine. I didn't like the increased grain so I switched back to my regular development.

Like to say, 'Go the Paulfish.'

Yeah, Paulfish is the man. Total inspiration.

I think Rodinal has it's place, but I just haven't dialed into it yet. So far my all time favorite is tmax 100 in d76 1+1. Although now I know how to get the grain effect it's nice to have in the arsenal of tools.

I'll eventually try your hc-110 cocktail.

With 35mm, even the little Rodinal that I use, I get grain increase, but I can live with it (barely).

I love Rodinal, but prefer Xtol/Rodinal, Xtol, or TMax Developer for TMY-2. I have generally accepted that Rodinal works better with slower emulsions, but it is my favorite 1+50 for Neopan 1600 @ EI 640. Go figure and go find some 1600.
