I ended up in Addis on my last company rotation. Four of us went exploring, with the two gentlemen you see in the pictures.

Quite an eye-opening experience for a westerner who's never been to Africa.

We were in Ethiopia for a day earlier this week. Went on a short walkabout in the opposite direction from last time in search of coffee. (Which we found.)

Great look into Addis Ababa. People look open and friendly, even the guy with the AK47, which he obviously is proud of (and looks like it might be his as it's polished and the wood has been refinished). My favorites are the two women with the great smiles, and the kid with the orange soda.

You're a brave guy.
