One thing I notice about all the images I've looked at in this thread (I haven't seen them all) is that they all are using background bokeh. A few with sharp plane towards middle of depth will a little foreground bokeh.
So people just not do foreground bokeh or to put it the other way, why don't people use distant plane of focus with foreground bokeh. I know that is more difficult to find subjects but I've seen none.

My Pentax 645 f/2.8 45mm wide open at 1/8000 sec into the sun and the spray from the irrigation system in the olive trees. The globes are droplets of water coming at me.
