Most of these were taken with M8, and CV 15 and 21:

Great shots. I really like the CV 15.

Curious if you used the Ruhle handbook? Doc mapped Glacier Park in the 20's, naming Going-to-the-Sun road, etc. When I lived in DC, he'd stop by evenings and we'd share "2 fingers" and his stories about explorations around the world. Amazing man. He loved that park.

Thanks!

Thanks!

No, I didn't have that book with me, but did review a handful at the library the previous week we went there. If I didn't see his at the library, probably some were based on his stuff.

Very interesting story, cool that you knew him.

He was just the 'cool old guy' that stopped by. Pre-google, it was a lot harder to find out someone's CV and I didn't know the extent of his work. He was very modest. (His doctorate is in nuclear physics and he worked on the Manhattan Project during the war, but preferred bears and stuck with the parks service, mostly, afterwards.) He passed away in 1994.

Here's a good discussion of his guide on the Glacier blog.
