Hope it is OK for me to re-link....here's a few samples, more on the site listed above:

Wow that looks like the junction of Nassau St. & Grafton St. in #3. Trinity College behind the wall on the right.

According to the caption given on the National Library of Ireland's website, that is exactly what you are seeing.

Full disclosure: I wouldn't have found the full collection except that one of the commenters on the blog linked in the OP sent me there with a broken link.

It seems to be all but forgotten these days. Even in the workplace. There was a story on the news just last night about people going to work wearing flip-flops (with the mention of the girls that posed with President Bush wearing them a few years back). Even on interviews, people seem to think it's okay to dress like a slacker.

Heck, just flip through The People of Walmart to get a whiff of the status quo.

Hahaha It's funny you posted that link.. I actually thought about mentioning that with my first reply.. smh

Thanks for posting this! There are other interesting photos at that link too, including the one of the open-top tram heading down towards Trinity College. An open-top tram in Dublin? 😱 That was taken at roughly the same spot but with the photographer standing on Grafton St.
