I just received my Rolleiflex 3.5E back from only a very few short days' worth of repair at Krimar Photo and he did an outstanding job. Incredibly fast and very thorough. The camera looks and feels brand new now (as far as I can tell, I've never held a new Rolleiflex but this is so smooth and quiet, it puts every Leica I've ever held to shame!)
The whole camera was cleaned, shutter fully overhauled with a new mainspring and the film transport overhauled. Everything is like butter now and I just want to recommend him for any repairs y'all need fixed.
Truly amazing I think.

Krikor has done wonders for me too. Recently he resurrected a 3.5F that I'd bought in dumpster condition, just for the parts. But when I tried it out I noticed the lens was especially sharp, so I asked Krikor to take a look at it. He replaced worn transport & shutter gears, CLAed everything else, put in a new Maxwell screen, & in addition threw in a replacement faceplate & some leather without charging for them.

And me! Looking to get my Rollei 3.5f up to scratch, even though it functions nicely, I want a CLA for my new baby, and I just don't trust the dealers repairman to do that.

I know that Harry Fleanor is universally regarded as the go-to guy for Rolleis but I just cannot wait months and months to get the camera back. Next time I need a repair on my Rolleis I'm sending them to Krimar. Incredible turnaround!!!!

I think it's worth having such work done while there are still people around who can do it. I procrastinated having some work done on a couple of Rolleiflex SL66 bodies and lenses and our local guy (Australia) Juergen Henning passed away. He had worked at the Rollei factory at Braunschwieg.

Mine was worked on by Krikor before I got it. No complaints at all. Very smooth handling indeed. I have the receipt. The shutter was ressurected from the dead amongst other things. He also has a 6 month's warranty on his work, well worth considering.

It may be considered impolite, but I'll join others in asking for prices. This is quite helpful for buying a camera, knowing what it might cost to bring it up to speed. And for a general maintenance service. I don't think I'm the only one here who has to think hard about what to do with $200 or $400 or so.

Anyone who has done service on precision objects should understand that this isn't going to be cheap. And if someone is confused as to why a 'simple' overhaul is a particular cost, it can be a good 'teaching moment,' eh?

And then again, just because it cost you X doesn't mean that my camera won't cost 2X or 1/2X. Again, servicing such devices makes each case unique for parts and labor.

Krikor overhauled a Rolleicord Va for me several years ago for a bit over $200. IIRC, the work included replacing the film counter, repairing a light leak, a full CLA on the shutter, and adjusting the focus. Total turn-around time from time I mailed it to the time I got it back was less than a week.

Krikor is fast, efficient and does excellent work. He has worked on both my Automats as well as my 2.8F. He was the former technical director for the Eastern Region for Rollei. I believe Fleenor headed up West Coast repairs. He is not inexpensive. Another excellent Rollei person is Mark Hansen.

Rob thanks for posting what is really a nice photo ....... it is good to be able to put a face to the name.

as for price, I sent him my 3.5 MX-EVS last fall, the camera had sat unused for close to 40 years and had some problems.... film advance rather stiff, shutter speed dial was hard to turn, shutter speeds were off (one second was more like four or five) filter retaining ring was loose on viewing lens, shutter lock did not work. I sent him the camera and a week later I had it back (this is fast service) the bill lists the following repairs, repair complete transport, repair complete shutter & replace main spring, adjust focus and clean viewfinder & lens as much as possible. Total cost was $350 and $25 for shipping. In use my camera now feels and works as if it was brand new, not the nearly 60 years it has on the clock. I would give Krikor my highest recommendation!

Krikor has taken over from Marflex Camera Repair - the former official Rollei repair service - Krikor was Head Technician at Marflex and has 42 years of Rollei repair service experience, besides 23 years at Marflex, Krikor trained at the Rolleiflex factory for three years, with an 8 year stint at Rollei/Africa, and eight years at Rollei/USA. Beside all that Krikor is a very nice man

With all due respect, the tone of your post sounds like sour grapes to me.
Joining rff with the express purpose to vent with numerous duplicate posts is dubious at best.
But sometimes s**t happens with any camera tech.
It's a shame there's little or no accountability on innnerweb forums.

I'll still give Krikor the benefit of the doubt until others come forward.
