Just bought an M3 DS, but in a bit of a jam...

Wow! I'm getting a lot more help than expected! Thanks for the suggestion guys!

I think I'll place an order on CameraQuest for those Voigtlander adapters, people seem to be happy with those ones (a bit pricey for a piece of metal though...).

Keep in mind that when it comes to adapters, you are paying for the quality of workmanship and not the amount of metal :) A cheap adapter that is 1/10 of a millimetre off in its thickness simply won't do the job. And, strictly speaking, you only need one or two of the things and can move them between lenses - although one per lens is admittedly less hassle.

dude I hate you :D

uhh, if you can't work things out with Ethan, I have a 12mm that I could (somewhat reluctantly, but whatever) possibly post over to ya.

as for checking the camera, make sure you check 1/1000 for capping (can occur if you push the shutter release slowly- try that) and make sure you check the finder for separation or anything like that! finder overhauls are like ~$300 or something.

and adaptors... I got mine off fleabay for like $10 from some guy in HK. it works pretty okay.

good luck and enjoy!

Where did you get it from in TO? I know downtown camera as well as eight elm sell lenses.. and dt sells adapters from time to time but they have been out of stock.. I know cause I have an m6 and only a 50mm ltm lens.. however I just picked up another body with a 50 summicron on it so I am good..

If I had more than one lens.. or an adapter I would for sure let you borrow.
