My camera arrived a couple weeks ago, though unfortunately I've only been able to go through two rolls of film since then. Despite what you guys told me, I actually find it pretty easy and enjoyable to use. Sure, it has a few quirks, but I've worked them all out save for the white stripe towards the left edge.

Anyone know what this is and how I can fix it? (disregard the pinhole leak, I've already fixed that)

Yeah, it's the shutter hanging up. The way to fix it is 1) look for a piece of film, paper, foam, or dirt that would cause it to stick in that position. 2) if cleaning it out doesn't fix it, take it to a repair shop and find out how much more than you paid for the camera they will charge to overhaul the shutter mechanism. Or 3) congratulations - you have a project!

That's what I thought. The shutter has been acting a little erratic lately. Shouldn't be too hard to fix.

A little more exercise might also cure it, but make sure the channels the curtains run in are clear of debris as Chris101 says.

Does your camera have a flash synchronisation/delay dial? Setting it away from 0 might help too.
