Well, I went out to the lake today with my M2, and my barely used Canon 50mm 1.4. I tried to focus on some sail boats in the distance and noticed that the lens would not focus to infinity. The lens was set to infinity but the boats were beyond that?!? Oh also im using a leitz adapter. Any ideas?

How does your M2 focus with other lenses? If they, too, are off when you focus to infinity, then the problem lies with the camera. If it's only the Canon 50/1.4 that is off, it's probably the lens.

What type of adapter?
Leitz, Voigtlander or other "good" ones like Marumi should be OK.
chinese ones are reported not to be very accurately machined..

Ok apparently I was wrong when I said that my other lenses were fine on the M2. I tried the 50 on my M6 and its fine. I tried a 35mm on the M2 and it seems to be having the same problem as the 50. So... I guess it the M2 and Im in the wrong thread. Sorry.
