When Leica geeks collide

Never happened to me. As with others I get the odd 'nice camera' but generally that's about it.

I was at a Washington Capitals game in April and saw a guy walking outside the Verizon Center with an M9 tucked in close briskly walking among the crowds of people. As I noticed him, I walked right into the path of a guy aiming a silver Ikon at me and nodded "nice Ikon!" as I crossed him. He lowered his camera and gave a stunned smile, no words.

I don't like gear geeking in person, though I like doing it here. This is why I have my Leicas taped or blacked out (people know Leicas in this town for some reason), and don't generally come to the meetups...though admittedly I enjoyed meeting the handful of RFF members I have met.
