I love camera bag photos.
Here's the Billingham Hadley Pro in use:
Here's the bag with a Hassleblad and an Ikon in it, with a second lens tucked under the rangefinder:
Hadley Pro with SLR gear; the cameras and lenses have been pulled out of their compartments to show how they fit, although I have to admit that it's tighter than I would like it to be:
My crumpler "six million dollar home" working as a portable macro kit, it's carrying my D700, Sigma 180/3.5 lens, two SB600 and one SB900 speedlights:

The two inserts for my Domke F1X bag, which I've never gotten around to writing about; these carry my main portable studio setup:
The F1X in a more traditional setup, with its contents arrayed around it:

Very simple but all I need. It holds:
1xLeica M body
1XEpson R-D1 body
1xVC 28mm Ultron lens attached to one body
assorted film, lens cloth, orange filter, memory cards
Plus I usually have stuff on top for work like a hard drive, pencil case and notebook.
Sorted!

Okay, my turn. This is the well-sorted waist bag from Domke, probably 10+ years old and has been the home of all of my cameras at one time or another because it is so versatile. Not pretty, just plain works.
Currently it is set up as a Leica bag with the M3 and lens and the R4 and lens. The side pouches hold a lot of film and such. A water bottle fits in the other. The open front allows access to smaller items.
The color is soooo 1990's but is okay. The waist pouch fit well across the chest believe it or not and is almost as good as a shoulder bag in the configuration.
But, not elegant. The Billingham Pro will have to wait awhile.😉

My Chrome messenger - made for (my) life by Chromebags, San Francisco, USA.
With its comfortable strap, the messenger bag fits perfectly to my body when I move,
but with the quick release, I can take my camera instantly.
In my bag there's : a notebook, a pen, my phone, a pen lens cleaner, a cable release, my camera with 3 or 4 lenses,
a flash unit, batteries for my camera and the flash unit, memory cards, and a mini tripod.
There's still little pockets for money, ID card, tickets…

Well, now I have slightly outgrown my smaller bag shown earlier. I have a 21mm lens on my Leica now and though it fits, it'a bit tight.
I orderewd a bright orange camera kit insert from eBay and it's nestled up in a Reisenthel laptop bag which fits superbly. I'll post a pic in a bit. The camera section has a little lid so I can put my hard drive etc on top. It comes with two vertical partitions and two 'shelves' which you can use to support the grip of a DSLR for example. I folded them up and velcroed them to the corners of the sections holding the cameras so the lens is supported by them. Very neat and there's a little section in the centre for film/caps/cards etc.

This is great advice for people living near a camera store. The closest camera store to me is at least 3 hours away and I'm not even sure they have a supply of bags. Sure, if you live in Manhattan and can just hop a train to B&H, this is great, but for others, online reviews and images of similar gear in a bag is a great way to see how things are going to fit.

If it is any consolation, there is not a single camera store in Atlanta where you can go look at a physical bag with the exception of a few LowePro and Tamracs. Premium bags? Forget it! There is not even a Leica store, used or new (KEH doesn't count because they have no showroom and do not allow you to go to their warehouse and try anything out beforehand. Guess the Germans think everybody in Atlanta is a redneck...🙄
So, we buy camera equipment online... but we can buy suits anywhere at a bricks and mortar store with 15 minutes. Not the best metaphor.

B&H don't have many bags in store that tailor to the rf crowd. Straps on display are also not as impressive as you would imagine. In total a disappointing experience.
These photos an a decent return policy are probably the best way to do it.

When you're in Hongkong, it's worth to browse at Tin Cheung. The bags section is on the 2nd floor. Domke's, A&A, Billingham they're all there. Btw, I'm not related in any way to this store.
