Neopan Acros 100 (120), now that Fuji (those B@stard's in Japan!) need to replace it with a bw film that is available.
So what do i choose, my main use is to pinhole and rolleiflex so i need a film with none or very little Reciprocity factor to this.
The Fuji Acros 100 is known for not having this and now its not manufatured anymore, Ilford and Kodak films suck and even kodak is not available. Ilford is not good for their time after exposure and not developed soon enough. Efke is a total mess with no quality control, The Great manufacturer AGFA is not amongst us, only those messy Rollei stuff (and you never know who is the one making their films).

In B&W Fuji Neopan 1600 and Neopan 400 in 120 roll film was discontinued and the latest news is that Neopan 400 in 35mm is discontinued too (at least here in Europe).
So indeed bad news from Fuji.

Neopan 400 in 135 ... they have to be kidding! 😱

The success of the X100 has obviously gone to their heads. 🙄

In the mean time I have switched to Rollei Retro 400S (Agfa Gevaert, Belgium production). Aviation film so I expect it will be some time around. Very sharp and good resolution but unfortunately not a full iso 400 film. But available in 35mm and 120 roll film which is important to me.

So bye bye Fuji Neopan ...........

400tx it is... Personally I think it's important to support kodak and Ilford - Kodak for still developing new films (portra 160 and 400 are brilliant) and Ilford to being committed to b&w.

Ilford / Harman = sky high prices since last year. At least here in Europe but I suppose it's even worse in Australia.
More moderate are the Foma prices, good quality papers and reasonable good films, at least the Fomapan 100 and T200 film. Together with the Rollei stuff no problem for all kind of films: panchromatic, orthopan, ortho, micro film, IR etc. choice enough!

All those Fuji films are still freely available in the UK.
They are available, but those available are the last unless Fuji has some major storage hidden some where with millions of crates with film.

This is written on Macodirekt's page for Neopan 400 (35mm):
"Sales as long as stocks last.
August 22nd, 2011: 202pcs
Exp. date: 03/2013"

Regarding the Acros film, the "information" i had about it was hearsay and talks on different websites and i think it is also going to be executed by the Fujifilm bosses.
The Neopan 400 IS THE BEST BW FILM imho, nothing to replace it with, maybe the ADOX 400 when and if it comes, but if its going to be made at the efke plants i will not use it. Ilford is too expensive for me. I just shot one roll on saturday of the Fomapan 200, but it seems weak as the spocket foles teared when loading it, something that never happened with any film before.

But the acros is just something i have to try and stock up on if shooting with the pinhole.
