There wasn't a disaster here, but quite a mess. After cleaning up the worst of it in our yard I went out for a walk with my G1. This was the view down my street:

Cleanup crews were at work by 8:00 in the morning:

The damage to the power grid was most widespread:

The breeze stayed strong well into the next day:

But at its worst, the tide and storm surge barely cleared the breakers on the James River:

Now let's hope that Katia stays WELL offshore.
