Helen, it's a place called "Crystal Cove Cottages" a couple of miles north of Laguna Beach CA. We have a time share in the area and visit once a year. (I live in Phoenix and San Francisco). It used to be a private community, today it's owned by the Ca State park system, they have rebuilt over 1/2 of the 80-90 year old beach homes (they rent them out). These are right on the beach and were damaged over 10 years ago in a storm. It must cost a fortune to do this project since they have moved rather slowly. You can google them to learn more, its very interesting. Thanks for the question, Jim
