some user-induced shake in this one and maybe some difficulty focusing for the cam itself (i was squatting, always a shaky proposition for me)

this one is heavily cropped to square, maybe a 100 percent enlargement:

Excells in B&W. Color is good too. I guess this means the Bessa R2 will start collecting dust.:D

BTW it looks like in your shadow your hair is coming back just in time for winter.:)

You're getting to grips with the X100 very quickly, nice pictures. But what do you think of it so far?

ps. I get the squatting shakes too!

Great stuff Paul.

With the camera at ISO 3200 and the three stop ND filter on you get something resembling grain. It was my favoirite setting for black and white.

Very nice!
Seems you're getting familiar already. :)

Keith, your tip sounds good. Gonna try that on Tuesday.
Need to bump the ISO, as the X100 can take A LOT, before any grain appears.

thank you all so very much.

yes, Paul, it is. i posted a thread on it in the members and intros forum.

and keith, thanks for reminding me of what your BW setting was. i am going to experiment a lot. after all, there is no film cost ... :)

Awesome shots Paul. It's a great little camera and the color images that it creates are really stunning.

Paul;

Great results with your new camera, I can't think of anybody who deserves it more. And Keith, what a wonderful thing you did. I'm honored to be a member of the same forum that you are a member of.

Warm regards
Paul
