Love this for the absolutely straight lines and the size. Went out with the Hexar yesterday after a few weeks of only using the 21. I kept seeing only 21mm suitable pictures, a few which should be good but I know the barrel distortion will make me miserable. The stealth mode for some other shots will hopefully make the roll. Prefocussing the 21 would have done for those probably too.

From an era when size did matter! 1960 Lincoln Continental Convertible. This was shot at one of the Concour's D'Elegance in Gastown here in Vancouver some years ago.
Bessa R4M, Zeiss C Biogon 21mm f4.5. Acros 100 in Beutler 1:1:10 for 7 min.

Joe, the fall-off in the corners of the second photo looks quite significant. Is it because of post-processing?

I bought this lens for the size, but after using it for a couple months I'm loving it for every aspect...

The light in the shots I've taken with this is so bright. Yours show that too. It's a great lens in every way.

Hola,
so i have GAS for the beautiful 21mm as well, just one question, if you use an external viewfinder, how exact is the framing especially vertical. Question behind is, the distance from the hotshoe to the optical plane is different for Bessa's, Zeiss Ikon or Leica M or not? So, if i use a Zeiss 21mm Viefinder (or Voigtlander), will it work properly on my M6?

This is a great lens. One of my favorites. This thread should be a sticky.
mod2001: I don't have any problems framing with the Zeiss 21 finder on my M6.
