Drat! My Costco just shut down film developing.

$4 for negs and a 3-4 meg scan. I am going to miss them. This leaves crappy Walgreen's for $9 or sending out (I use North Coast Photo in San Diego) for 6 meg scan for $10. Even the Walgreen's told me that when the machine dies they are done, too. I am starting to get nightmares.😡

Hmmm, didn't realize scans could be that large from Costco. When I get them to scan C41, the scans are under 1MB - can I request larger or are different Costcos just set up to give different scans with the Noritsu?

It's a shame, but personally I prefer to mail out, you get a better choice of labs, and it when they're done, I find the result on my desk at work in the morning.

I was upset too as Waldgreen's and CVS don't do quite as good a job for the price as Costco. It will really putting a crimp in my film work. Any suggestions for me here in Tampa Florida?

Quite happy with the film 35mm film service from Mpix.com. Drop it in a pre-paid mailer (that you request from them). You can unlock the scans online when the films are developed and have the negs drop shipped to you.

The Costco near me has a photo Kiosk but no film in sight. I found it in the inkjet printer section! 😱 Who worked on the categorization list I wonder? (probably a digital user wanting to prank on the unsuspecting film user 😡) Also, they only have one film offering, Fujifilm Xtra400 🙁 If I had only one wish from Costco it is that they only offer Tri-X 🙄
