If you give it a good filing (you'll find a guide on it on RFF somewhere) you'll make it show 35mm (quite popular thing to do unless you are planning on buying and using a CL/CLE later)

Here's an image I posted on flickr of the modification required to bring up the 35mm framelines (which the Nokton fits much better than the 50's). There is some very useful input in the comments from Tom A and others.

Filing the mount won`t do any harm if planned using with the Leica CL (no wider frame available). However, I heard that a modified 40mm lens would bring up the 28mm frame lines on the Minolta CLE.

This is on an M2, Akiva, with a filed Nokton, and compared to a 35 Summicron. M6 framelines a couple percent smaller.
