what is the longest you have held onto a piece of photography equipment?

I've had my Canon T70 since I bought it new in 1986. I shot my last roll of Kodachrome with it, just for old time's sake.

Family: An Ansco Memo from my grandfather from at least the 1930s. Also have (and frequently use) the M3 my family got new in the early-mid 1960s.
Me: I still have two Pentax lenses I got in 1995 (the body died, but I have replacement). I infrequently use my SLR ever since getting bitten by the rangefinder bug.

Still have my Nikon S2 with black Nikon 50/1.4 I got in 1961 or 62 and it works great. Only had to replace the shutter on it once around 1972. My Leica M2 has been with me since 1970. Probably will never sell either of these. Youxin CLA'd it in 2010 and it's super nice.

I have a Pentax Spotmatic that I bought second hand from a friend in the mid seventies. I never did really like it and still don't ... it just doesn't matter enough that I would even consider getting rid of it!

I ran a roll of film through it about four years ago and it worked perfectly.

Oh man... I still have my Agfamatic 50 (126 cartridge) give to me when I was 6 in 1967 (tks Mom)... and my first Nikon F when I was 14 (tks Dad)...

Pre-WW2 Zeiss IKON

Pre-WW2 Zeiss IKON

I still have, and am using a 6x9 Zeiss Nettar folder that my morhter got in 1939. It was passed to me in 1958. That's either 73 yrs, or 54. It depends when you start counting. The camera is older than I.

3x M2's and 5x M3's over 40 years... 2x M4's over 30 years. 2x M6's over 20 years... The IIIc and IIIf I can't remember. Film Leicas are like traditional marriages :D.

A Praktica MTL 5 SLR. Family friends from East Germany gave it to me in 1990. Short after the wall came down and short before the reunion. It was the first time they could travel to West Germany. I was 11 at the time. Still have it but haven't used it since 2002 or so - more into Rangefinders now...

I was going to say my Minolta XK that was given to me in 1984, but then I remembered that my aunt found my old Zenit E in her basement. I got that in 1979. (I would still have the Olympus OM1n I bought new but someone stole that when my apartment was broken into back in 1988.)

I still have my first camera that I got as a Christmas gift from my father in 1992-- a Minolta X-370 with 50mm f/1.7 and 80-200mm f/4.
My M6 that I bought this year will be around for the rest of my life I imagine....

Luna Pro rebadged for the USA from the original Lunasix (the Lunasix was introduced around 1961). The Luna Pro was made in "Germany (West)"... Got mine in the late 1960s while still in High School, so about 44+ years ago.

Lost the spot meter attachment along the way :(. Still works like a champ.

My OM-1 purchased February, 1974, so that would be.......let's see....almost 38 years. Camera still works too but the meter is dead. I don't need no stinking meter.

Yashica FR and 50mm f2 that was my first camera purchase from newspaper delivery money in 1982. I was 13. Still have that one. Also have a Yashicamat LM I got in 1990.
