The warranty is for one year. No clue how you got two years.
As far as I know overhere in Germany there's two years warranty (law-wise it is a different term) on electronic stuff (if not on all stuff that you buy except for food).

As far as I know overhere in Germany there's two years warranty (law-wise it is a different term) on electronic stuff (if not on all stuff that you buy except for food).
Even for food or other limited lifespan goods - provided that you are able to prove the damage is not due to it being past the expiration date.
EU-wide, there is a 2 years liability of the dealer (!) for flaws in design, production, packaging, storage and transport - for the first six months, such a flaw is assumed and would have to be disproved by the dealer, past that, the situation reverses.
The maker has similar responsibilities towards the dealer or distributor - but between businesses these can be waived or transferred.
Manufacturers warranties towards the end user are a wholly separate matter and purely voluntary - but they may not contain unfair clauses and restrictions nonetheless.

Turned out to be an error with the mainboard. They put in a new one and the camera is on its way back to me now.
