Hi all,
I'm relatively new to the forum and to Boston. I'll definitely be able to make it for the meet-up. See you all.
Dilip.

Alright... getting close. Anyone else in?
Again, we'll be meeting at 2pm at the Abbey, 1657 Beacon Street, Brookline.
It's on the inbound side–there's more parking across the street if you can't in front, but the meters are free on Sunday.
So... looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

Sorry to duck out on you, but a problem has come up with my wife's truck. I doubt I will be there this afternoon. Hopefully next time!

It was a nice lunch meet-up today: good to meet folks face to face. Dilip, Ben (semordnilap), Harry L and I had beers and Cuban sandwiches at the Abbey on Beacon St, and talked cameras for a couple of hours. We should do it again; I'd be up for a photo walk sometime, too.

And a special shout-out to Ben, the proximate cause of my no-doubt imminent divorce, as I now really really want a NEX. That EVF is nothing short of stellar. Turns that camera from a "Why would I care to put Leica lenses on an arms-length live-view camera like that?" to "Oh... oh my."

Ha... and this coming from one of the two M9'd Harrys.
Yeah, the NEX evf is quite something! And it was cool to see the MS optical 35... pictures don't really show how absolutely tiny that thing is.
Anyway, it was a fun afternoon for sure! Lots of cool gear and good conversation. I'll work on getting some pictures up soon, myself. And we should definitely do it again–I do like the idea of a photo walk.
And Ed, sorry you couldn't join us. Hopefully next time!

I linked to some above. Apparently this sub-forum doesn't permit IMG attachments.

It appear that attachments are OK but insertions are not. I'll give it a try later.

As an attachment, it's not very impressive, but it will do as a mug shot of the co-conspiritors.

Looks suitably conspirational.

I wasn't able to make the last Boston RFF meetup, unfortunately. Hopefully there will be another one in the not-too-distant future. I'd like to get to know who else it out there in the area!
