We're all light!
This was truly big-time fun. Thanks to everybody for the cameras and (most important) camaraderie that flowed throughout. (The beer and booze didn't hurt, either.) I'll have scans and more up before too long - my local lab was closed before I could drop off my roll of all the action.

Had a great time! John's Nikon duo (Batman and Robin?) walked away with the judging, but all the cameras were awesome. As good as the gear was, however, the laughs were even better. Glad I could take the day off to lounge and laugh with you all.

Congradulations to John Chee our grand prize winner with his brace of Nikon RF'ers.
Mucho thanks for Barrett's MC'ing and somehow controling the mob. A lot of unexpected surprises this year, a lot of tolerance in bending the rules which made for extra fun. I don't know how how Barrett maintained order, but he came prepared by offering multiple prizes which was a winning stratagy for all.
Special thanks to Damaso for starting this meet-up over three years ago and for donating the print that was offered as the grand prize. Just like the Oscars that played out later Sunday night, this year there were brown envelopes and multiple catagories.
One surprise was how popular the Canon Canonette was. The backstory here is that it was purchased for only $10.00, somehow by proxy it was entered by Arri, and for a while John Chee was a little nervious because of all the attention the Canonette was getting against John's magnifcent brace of Nikons that was assembled into a very practical 28-50 pair.
Also want to mention that Dan's very rare Cantax RF'er was of museum quality. If John Chee hadn't been so clever to put together a shooting kit, he might have been snipped yet again for a third year in a row.
FWIW I even got a prize for my Wetzlar M6 that John calls a "Monster" because of its smooth an remarkably quiet shutter.

What a great meet-up! I can see John is eBaying a minty black paint MP3 kit with matching serial numbers for 2013 beauty pagent, lol.
I was surprised to learn that HLing and I came from the same town in Taiwan.
She was kind enough to share her sources of all her bargain hunts and letting me play with her Polaroid Auto 250.
As a result, I am now a proud owner of a Polaroid 195 (from local Craig's list)

You guys know me too well. Here was my thought process on my way home yesterday ... MP-3, no MP-3, MP-3, no MP-3, MP-3, no MP-3 ... until I saw a not-so-minty MP-3 LHSA Special Edition with matching black paint 50mm Lux and Leicavit, something that I would like, the Buy It Now price is $17,000. Then, my thought process changed to divorce papers, no divorce papers, divorce papers, no divorce papers ... With the pageant win this year, I checked off another item in my bucket list already. Between, MP-3 and stay happily married, I guess the latter is a wise choice, at least for now. But, watch out guys, I already have some initial idea for next year. Who knows what I am going to find in Japan next month.

Oh, my lord! It took you just one day, Tung?! Congrats on the purchase and the win in the even.
The Canonette was indeed a surprise, especially presented by Lord Nikon. Even my long time ally, John G. had a thing for the build in film advance lever at the bottom.
And, what's up with all the Zeiss's crashing the used to be Leica party. And their condition ... OMG! What a great story Dan had of his Contax IIIa with a functioning meter. I will be remiss if I fail to mention Ling's pristine conditioned Contessa with the James Bond style rewind lever. Ling - you should re-consider your ocean swimming schedule. We like your bargain hunt stories very much.
Last but not the least, congratulations, Cal. A well deserved recognition. Now that I heard the silky sound of your M6, I think we should have a throw down on just the shutter sound mid year. It will be a real fun to put your M6 side by side with Helen's M4.

I do, John ... I am go to the source for the Hello Kitty M6TTL, your not so secret fantasy. My agent in Japan did not do a good job to get me one for the Pageant this year. I have decided to hit the road myself in search for the ultimate Leica! I hope that my pilgrimage will be rewarded.

You are correct that Tung is as obsessive as the rest of us, and a cool camera is even made better by great prices. What impressed me the most is two things about your gear: one is taste; two was the unbelievable prices. Seems like you also spread your luck to Tung.
I was interested in Polaroid even before the meet-up because of Tung... Long story.
