Does a black Nikon S2 just not look "right"?

I love the look of a black Nikon SP, and the S3 is almost as handsome.

But, the S2, to me, just doesn't look right.

An S2 looks just right in silver. I'm still trying to get used to the look of the black Millennium lens on mine.

Vick, I need to see it in person. Please send me yours with the 50mm f1.1 attached. After a couple weeks I'll render my verdict on how it looks.

See, this looks right in chrome.

Any of the black Nikons looks great -- but there's something classic about the S2 in chrome. And I really like the older Nikon logo, with the curve in the N.

Vick, friend, what happened to you:(, please retrieve your sanity, you know I'm a doctor, if you need anything please ask.:D:D:D
After the Nikon One the most beautiful and interesting nikon rangefinder is the S2 black silver dial.
One of my black pearl passes just today from me to Erik van Straten and i'm happy to read his post....
"The black Nikon S2 is the most beautiful camera in the world."

I love the way the SP viewfinder edge meets the step in the top deck, and the line is carried down on the left side of the lens as you look at the front of the camera. To me the SP in chrome or black is just a great looking camera. I love the look of my black Leica IIIc as well.
