I just moved to a new town... and today found out that the Super Walmart here DOES do Fuji "Send Out Only" envelopes. They do not do any in store film processing. In fact when I checked this store a bit over a year ago, they denied any Fuji "Send Out Only". Now, it turns out that a young lady managing the film department, and helpful, while not overly knowledgable, discovered they have the Fuji Kiosk complete with envelopes. She knows that they do the "Send Out Only, twice a week and have a ten biz day turn around, which has always been my experience on other Walmarts, whether they do in store 35mm or not.

So, I encourage those of you who think that your local Walmarts DO NOT do the "Send Out Only".... rattle some cages. The young lady who helped me was delighted that I knew what I wanted in the way of MF film processing. She even sort of knew how to fill out the envelopes, which I gladly showed her how to complete.

As I have said many times, Do not listen to the store staff until you hear what you want to hear. I know that a bit over a year ago, the lady running the photo department then flatly denied any out of store processing. At that point, since they were not doing in house processing, I wondered why did they have a department.

My suspicion is that any Walmart within truck distance of a Fuji facility is doing "Send Out Only".

Good C41 and good E6... cheap, cheap, cheap.... ten day turnaround, they call you.

AND I REPEAT, OVER AND OVER, AGAIN AND AGAIN....DO NOT!!!! ASK THESE STORE EMPLOYEES FOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IF ANY AT ALL. YOU KNOW MORE THAN THEY DO, JUST FROM THE POSTS RE: WALMART ON THIS FORUM.

It is great that this appears to work, but in the back of my mind I keep wondering: if these people don't even know what products they offer, or how to fill out the order forms, should I entrust my important images to them?

This is a crazy price and although I feel somewhat jealous because here in OZ it ain't gonna happen ... eventually someone in a WM boardroom will look at the figures and say ... "why are we doing this, we're here to make money for the share holders right?"

Yeah, I've been dropping my color 35mm rolls off at the local Wal-Mart here for the past couple weeks (24 exp processing & prints for $6.99). They send it out to Fuji and I'm happy with the results aside from the sloppy negative cutting that was done on my last roll.

Do you know if they do B&W? I have a bunch of exposed b&w 35mm & 120 rolls that I found in an old bag but didn't know where to get them developed locally.

This is entirely a Fujifilm play. The envelopes are not opened in the store, either before or after shipping and return. The store staff is only charged with the responsibility to take the drop box bag from the kiosk and get it to the truck, then call all the numbers on the envelopes on return and file in the film cabinet.

Haven't lost a roll yet. But hey, for me it's either take the risk or forget MF. I am not paying the going price for processing MF as much higher as it is through other processors. If Fuji can make money at 84 cents, what's with $10 plus shipping elsewhere going to get me? After all, it's Fuji on the C41 and whoever they trust on the E6.

Except for the technicians at the processors, it's just a filing and transportation system.
