I'm putting this photograph, which I made yesterday afternoon, in its own thread because I think it should get more attention than it would in my big Fort Wayne thread.
Most of the first floor windows on this house on Swinney Avenue in Fort Wayne are boarded up with corrugated metal. The rest are covered up with large American flags. The front door has a sign saying that the place is protected by ADT Security Service, and a sticker on the door's window says "Warning there is nothing in here worth your life." I wonder how many times this place was burglarized to make the owner so paranoid? I think that I would just move!
Here's a crop of the image showing the sticker on the window:

Your brave, I'm not sure I would want to be confronted by this resident while taking pictures of his front door.

Why move! Much cheaper to buy a gun like he did. I don't think I would advertise it like he has, some idiot might challenge his ability to shoot straight.

He was walking to his car when I got there, so I talked to him and got his permission. I didn't get to ask him why he's done this, he was running late to a funeral and was in a hurry to leave.

Could be growing dope. Covered windows and overzealous security signs are telltale signs according to the mailbox flyer the local task farce sent out.

I actually thought that when I first saw the house, but the owner is a guy my dad's age who looks like a factory worker. Didn't seem the type (and I've met a lot of people growing weed here).
You never know though. Several years ago, a snitch told the police that the house directly across the street from Fort Wayne's State Police Post had a gigantic growing operation in the basement. The police found millions of dollars in marijuana plants inside, and the owner admitted he had been growing pot across from the State Police for YEARS. He figured they'd never suspect someone of doing that across the street from a police station! They didn't, either. He got caught because he pissed off someone who knew about it, who ratted him out for revenge!

You do wander about in a strange part of the universe. I wonder about the people you meet.

I bought this book by Kyle Cassidy a few years ago. Interesting.

According to a poster that Homeland "Security" (as they so ironically call themselves) sent out to coffee shops, paying for your coffee with cash is one sign he might be a terrorist. I think Chris should follow him for a few days and see if he pays cash at Starbucks. If so, WE GOT US A TERRORRORISST! YEEEHAAAHH!Could be growing dope. Here's the back of the house. The back door has the same warning sticker as the front door.

And when you ring the doorbell, don't wear a hoodie.
