Leica LTM What did i win ?

Leica M39 screw mount bodies/lenses
Hard to tell from these images. But these wartimes serial Sonnars are almost always fake/frankenlenses - which doesn't mean that it might not be optically excellent...

Could be a real, rare, valuable ltm Sonnar, or it could be a fake but still a very good lens, just not quite as valuable.

It was on eBay at $399 buy it now best offer , i offered $240 which was declined .
then resisted at $199 start bid .
I had bid the $199 , then my bid was canceled
the serial number is in the right range and the m on scale is the small ,
It is hard to tell from the photos , it may be original , you have to compare it to known examples .
There is how the screws are on the barrel which is not shown in the photos .
Also if the serial numbers match front and rear groups .
Good luck - may be the real lens .

Yes as I wrote to you in that email, it appears to be a 100% original CZJ Leica Thread Mount lens, the front ring looks buggered up a bit, but the glass/ coating color and all the tell tale marks are there, to signify it is a real one :) Congrats, should bring you many many hours of Beautiful Bokeh and shooting.

I was the 2nd person with the best offer seems to me the seller is having a tough time dealing with English.
Sorry for snatching the lens.

Thanks again, I can't wait for it to arrive It will be permanently fixed on either the IIIcK or the IIIg.

I'll update this thread with more info and pictures when the lens arrives .

Well, the glass is perfect and the aperture works as it should, the lens is a bit grimy and dirty on the barrel and has a stiff focusing ring.
Could anyone recommend someone in Europe that could do a CLA on this lens or is there a quick fix that could help to make the focusing smooth again.

Thanks !
