Hello everyone. Basically my question is would that work ? Any examples ? I don't have any other developer, so that's my only choice . Also would it be better to do a stand development to keep the grain or it doesn't rly matter ? Could it be pushed to 800 and if so how. Despite that any comments about that combination are welcome

Sure, why not?
A quick search on Flickr for various samples:

Consulting Massive Dev Chart for initial tests:

That's something to start off with.
Have fun!

I find Rodinal works OK on Fomapan 400. It is a grainy film to begin with that reminds me of 1970s Tri X, so you will get non rounded out silver grains on the film with the Rodinal developer for full sharpness.

I've tried it, but I think only stand developed. It was "OK", I will see if I can find samples.

Just remember that Fomapan 400 isn't really 400 speed, and that Rodinal tends to give speed-loss with faster films. So you'd probably be better of shooting it at 200.

+1 shoot at lower EI.
After developing Foma in Rodinal, I will try something else, maybe XTol or even a staining developer for fun.

The OP needs to specify whether he/she is referring to 35mm or larger.
