your real life one camera one lens kit...

I lean towards the OM-1 + 50/1.8, but if it had to be a RF I'd opt for the Bessa R3A + Nokton 40/1.4

Shhhhhhh .... this a rangefinder thread! I know Joe is probably asleep but he may have spies watching us. :D

Though you have just expressed my sentiments! :p

If not limited to RF, then a D700 and Nikon 24-70/2.8 -- that will pretty much cover all my photo needs for the rest of my life, if it ever came to that.

Thank goodness it hasn't come to that, so with the RF constraint, I'd say a ZI and 50/2 Planar, And I'd even go so far as to select just one film: Neopan 400.

still here keith!

why is it so out of line to want an rf thread here at rff?

Damn ... don't you ever sleep? :p

I knew that maybe you were still lurking, I was just checking ... and I agree with you and was just trying to help you with your job in some minor way ... sir! (doffs hat and slinks away)

And I meant to add ... in the RF world it would have to be my RD-1 and 35mm f1.2 Nokton. My only other 35mm rangefinder is my M2 but I'm afraid I really have to give the Epson the nod!

M8 + Cv 35/1.4

Edit. Interestingly, I type capital C and V on my iPad and it shows them correctly until the page refreshes and then it is what it is.

As of now, when I take one camera and one lens it's usually a Canon 5D with a 24/f3.5 TS-E.
