What is the going rate these days for such a lens?

This lens is rare, but there must be someone who knows the market well.

I have noted 3 eBay prices in the past 3 years in GB£. They were probably sold in US$ but converting back at GB£1 = US$1.50 the prices I have are US$4093 (2012), US$ 1965 (2011) and US$2734 (2010).
Not enough information to really get the picture, especially as condition etc was not noted, but it looks as though prices range from US$2000- 4000+ if that's any help.
$4000 is suggested at http://www.antiquecameras.net/nikonrflens.html

Awesome deal, grab it.
Is it the internal version or the external version?
I have been tracking prices and the internal version seems to be cheaper than the external version. Here is what the last two brought in Westlicht auction
LOT 290
Nikon Nikkor-N.C 1.1/5cm
very early first type with internal mount in fine condition, small cleaning marks on front lens, rear cap, front cap (missing pin) - ex Tad Sato Collection

Condition: B+
Year: c.1956
Serial no.: 119682
EUR 1.200 (Start price)
EUR 1.680 (Hammer price incl. premium)
---------------------------------------------------------------------
LOT 291
Nikon Nikkor-N 1.1/5cm
later type with external mount, clean lenses, original rear cap and front cap - ex Tad Sato Collection

Condition: B/A
Year: c.1960
Serial no.: 140705
EUR 1.800 (Start price)
EUR 3.600 (Hammer price incl. premium)
--------------------------------------------------------------
I see the external mount has gone up and the internal gone down in price.
Kevin Cameras has a few but the prices are over $5k

Kiu,
I was hoping for your input.
The auction has vanished. It must have been sold.

i believe 2k for an internal, rather about 3k for an external should be possible to find with a little patience

Here's an external mount lens for a very low price:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/271005544021?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
(no connection to the seller but I did get my 2.8cm f/3.5 Nikkor from them.)
I'd buy the 5cm f/1.1 if I had the money but tis not to be.

The auction ended then the seller re-listed it $1300 more expensive!

The internal reportedly is too heavy for the internal lens mount, makingl, at a minimum, for unreliable focusing. Hence the external version.

These numbers look like a good recommendation:

A LTM verison is selling at ~US$30,000 in HK now. And I one set.
I first thought that the 30,000 were in some other currency ... like Rupees?

Last 5cm f1.1 LTM kit that I saw was over $10K, by photoalps on ebay. It was complete with the finder and special rear lens cap with the thread for the finder. Very very exotic kit.
