Search for a "3D printing service" in your area on Google and choose at least PETG or ASA as the material.

Your local library may have a 3D printer. Otherwise, there are tons of online services you can pay to have something 3D printed.

Really cool. I have the Nikkor P.C 105mm f2.5 in Contax mount, and fortunately it has the original lens hood.
I imagine there is or should be a cottage industry around metal powder bed or filament printing for critical metal parts for vintage cameras. The key issue is metal printing is still a bit expensive, but sounds like it is moving closer to being affordable. Plastic is fine for lens hoods.
Do you use CAD (e.g., Solidworks) to design these? I know there are open source ways to do it also (e.g., Blender, etc.).

For example, you can print parts made of aluminum, stainless steel, or even titanium.
A lot is possible, but not everything.
"All" you need is a digital three-dimensional model of the part (STL file).
Some rework might be required, or it might even break.
But whatever, at least we tried.
And how expensive is expensive if you need a part for your favorite camera that was discontinued 50 years ago?
Or you want a simple lens hood that costs 300 or 500 bucks? - If ya can get one.
Or you want an eye correction device that was never manufactured?
