Continuing my recent splurge on making photobooks out of shots I have taken, I followed up the recently-made "Portugal, in Monochrome" with a new book, called simply "England". I spend a week or two in England virtually every year (mostly to catch some football matches, but also for street photography). Over the past 4 years I have taken lots of photographs, and finally decided to make a book of it.

I'd love some feedback on the book: thoughtful critiques are always valuable. I am not a professional, but I think I have some good photographs. Hopefully others agree. I'd also love a critique on not only the work, but also in the layout of the book. Anything is helpful--you guys are the only "photographers" I really know (damn introverted self!) so I appreciate what I can get.
Cheers,
Trevor

Just looked.
Some great photos especially the double page spreads.
I think I like the pictures individually better than as a collection.
Why all the blank pages?
Did you consider adding any picture details? Could have gone on the blank pages.
Not sure that there aren't too many photos in the same format.
I would have liked a 'technical' page perhaps at the back - about cameras, exposures etc.
I think I wouldn't have reproduced the cover picture within the book, but, the cover is striking and a good shot used - makes you want to look inside.
It's a book for you with your photos with your memories and an excellent way of storing them. Because there isn't a continuing thread or theme through the book I'm not sure that it will appeal to too many.
Don't get me wrong, I do know the time and effort needed to produce a book like this so I can appreciate what you have produced.
Does this help - am I being over critical?

Congrats on the book. I particularly like the shots where you isolate the figures.
I hope you enjoyed shooting in the UK.

Trevor - just taken a look - some excellent images and as Jesse says, the double page spread is especially impressive.

Sorry but in the absence of the title I would fail to identify the location. None of the shots "shout" England and nothing is quintessentially English or indeed British in them.
The images are fine but the title.......... ?

Thanks for the tip. Maybe the title doesn't really speak to the book. Anyone else think so?

That cover knocked me out!
I, too think some copy on those blank pages would've been a plus. Good job!
