So, you are trying to recruit people from an established forum over to your Facebook page for the same kind of discussions that can be carried on here. Did I miss something?

I'm not trying to do anything of that kind.
A lot of people are more active on fb, there is for instance also an analog only fb group where the activity is a lot higher than here because it's more focused on one topic.
For those who like to spent time in a focus group next to their daily activity here, can join. They might meet people there who can offer info and opinions that are not even a member here.
I prefer to see the good in someone's actions in oppose to the evil...

There are other FB pages devoted to Leica and Rolliflex too.
They all have the advantage that you can post straight from your PC without having to host the picture on , say, Flickr first.
I don`t necessarily want to post some shots on Flickr although I may wish to post them elsewhere.
Likewise I post many shots for friends on an equestrian FB page that would be of no interest to my Flickr contacts.
To me its all about flexibility.
