Anybody know about F-Stop bags?

Yes, I have one and can recommend it for travel. I have used it on three cross country trips and many long weekend regional trips. The bag I have has a large ICU and has enough room to accomodate camera and cloths for a short trip, 3 to 5 days. On longer trips I have used the F-Stop and a A&A Camera bag and both were carry-on, not checked luggage.
Use and experiences may vary depending on how much equipment, clothes and tolieties your carry as well how tight you can pack a bag.
Quality built backpack and extreamly comfortable when straped-on the back.
I have not used the bag to backpack on field trips in the backcountry.

I have an F-stop Tilopa and LOVE it. It's perfect in every aspect!
It's durable, it fits a lot of stuff, but you can tie it down when you don't need the extra size. I have a Shallow Small ICU and a Medium Pro ICU. A ton of gear fits in there if I use both. My favorite combination is the Medium ICU with clothes etc. It fits everything I would need for a weekend:
- Enough photogear
- Fresh underwear/socks for 3 days
- 2 shirts
- Hoodie/pullover for when it get's cold
- Extra pair of shoes/flip flop
- A book
- Laptop
- Chargers, filters, batteries, cables and misc. stuff.
- A bottle
What more can you ask for? You can always use gatekeepers to add extra stuff like sleeping bag/tent/sleeping mat.
I HIGHLY recommend them. They're a little more expensive, but totally worth it. Their guarantees are great too!

I have the Loka and I'm extremely satisfied with it. It's the kind of bag that makes you think "hmm, it'd be really nice if this bag had [insert special need]" and then it turns out it does. It's like the engineers who made this were reading your future thoughts.
The medium ICU can hold just about all the 35mm gear I own, or a RB67 setup with filters, extra 6x7 back and two lenses. I've traveled extensively with the bag and the only complaint I could think of is that the back cushion can get very warm and sweaty in hot weather.
By the way, the Loka (37L) is large enough for long backpacking trips and small enough for daily use. For me at least, it's the perfect size backpack.
