Now that I have read the announcement a few times, I'm not sure how this is not just an M9 with different colors.
Anyone else get it...?

*LOL*
Oh man.. that is rich.
Old technology (how old is that Kodak sensor now?), and a price point of approx $6000 CAD/USD (give or take a few hundred which clearly doesn't matter when buying anything Leica) based on current GBP values.
Sounds like a breakthrough for Leica alright!!!

I think the price of M9s just went up if thats the only colour the ME comes in!
Don't get me wrong, I don't expect "revolutionary" technology - we ARE talking Leica after all - but come on. THE SAME FREAKING SENSOR ?!?!?!?
ME would have been awesome if it were competing in price with the Fuji X series cameras. They would have cleaned up and could have used the old tech even.
That is the same freaking camera. A bit cheaper, in a downgraded "E"conomy version.
doesn't this just make it more obvious that someone willing to make a digital rangefinder (and I'm looking at you, Cosina!) with a FF sensor and M-mount at a decent price will clean up? Imagine Cosina selling a digital CL or Ikon at $3000 even? Sales would be incredible.
It isn't an M9! C'mon people... it's an M9-P with a red dot. 😉
The charcoal with silver dials probably looks great, but it will be very identifiable since it is unique...not as stealthy as an M9-P.
What does this mean to used M9 price?
