Supposedly it's tougher now than a couple of years back when I went, but the fall is a great time to go–fewer tourists and more pilgrims in Lhasa.

Contact some tourist agencies in the TAR directly and see what they think, but they should be able to arrange the papers directly for you. Feel free to contact me with questions.

The pictures are great, but to my eyes it looks like something evil is going on in the corners on a lot of the images. Am I imagining it? Or is there maybe some artifact of either the lens' rear element vs. the sensor's microlenses, or application of cornerfix or something else?

Thanks! Hey buddy,you are not imaging... It's truth... I also found that and I don't know how it comes. I think this antique lens is too old to use on the digital full frame camera.

Beautiful, Beautiful shots. To see the mountains and sky like that is astonishing and when modern roads and electrical towers stand out because of the politics is puzzeling. One would think that when the Chinese took over there was no benefits to the invasion but it looks like there are some. I guess we don't know about the unpleasant things that might have happened.
No haze just clear shots stands out to me make everything beautiful.
