Do you mind me asking : which developer you used and the times?

Alistair - I regret to say I have become a little lazy and had these done recently at my local pro lab in Old St and even, which I rarely do, have them scan for me too to save time.

Low light, through a steamy window it is nevertheless atmospheric and crisp. It shows the tiny 1940s Elmar wide open at f3.5 is a very little gem.

What is the Leitz part number for that hood?

Sorry Peter no idea about product numbers.
It is a nickel Leitz VALAU hood which also controls the aperture of the 50 Elmar lens. I believe it was only made between 1933-1939. There was then a more recent larger black version, I think made from plastic, which does the same and is called the VALOO.
Both pop up now and thn on ebay or used dealers.
