Thanks Kuvvy - definitely one of those moments when the photo gods smile on you and you just have to accept the gift before it goes away!

The bird is a Great White Pelican. Not a native species but kept in St James Park since the 1660s. http://www.royalparks.org.uk/parks/st_james_park/flora_fauna/pelicans.cfm
Never mind the pelican, what about the sinister squirrel...
Great pic

Thanks Joe - there were actually two of them just hanging out with the guy on the bench, who I'm guessing probably comes to visit them a lot as they seemed very relaxed with him. They've been known to get themselves into trouble for eating the pigeons in the park, which can be distressing for tourists!

Paella Espanola
Well Gil I have always admired your photos especially as we both own a RD-1x. But, is this a popular entre in your country. I have never seen boiled eggs in paella. I showed this pic to my wife and she loves the idea. Anyway keep the great picture coming. Regards, Steve

Gil
Hi Steve thanks, yes Paella is very popular in our country. We were colonized by Spain for 400 years and we acquired a lot of their culture & tradition. Our language have many Spanish root word in it. Cheers!
