my x-20 flash wont fire...changed the batteries but no luck, removed the batteries then put them back in, no luck!
i see a trip to the camera store tomorrow...

Electronics is said to fail either in very beginning or last long. Probably you hit bad one from a million good. If after years of use you will sell flash you will get to replace this, it will serve next owner years and years.

i did...another set of alkalines and now am charging up some lithions to double check...
i touched the flash when i was shooting and it disharged itself (sounds dirty)...maybe some static electricity caused it...camera was on a tripod...after that it refuses to fire.

Sounds like a static discharge may have fried the electronics inside..
The day it happened was it very dry and did u walk on something like a carpet?
If it was static discharge related, maybe camera electronics related... Have u checked by using a different camera..
