I took some gear in to my local camera store to be appraised, and I got a very high value for my GR II and GF-1 flash unit. The camera works very well, but cosmetically it's not great. I bought it in 2015 for $100 off MSRP. They were not popular back then and I never thought about resale value. I've taken it everywhere, shutter count is maybe in the 20k region, but with the leaf shutter, I don't think it matters.
The trade-in value would almost let me get an GRIIIx for minimal out of pocket cost. While I like the 28mm perspective, I have a Leica Q and a GX7 with the 14mm 2.5 already, and I loved the 20mm 1.7 on my old GF1.
I've tried the GRIIIx and enjoyed the images, but I've read reports online of poor reliability, poor battery life and people lamenting the loss of the built-in flash. For anyone that has upgraded to the GRIII series, is it worth it? Any regrets?
