Tried it in the store, it's their most responsive, fast focussing prime yet. Focus scales are nice, but there are few scales needed for a 14mm!
Have fun, it seemed like an amazing lens!

UPS is delivering mine on Monday. I've been looking forward to this lens for a long time. I'll be heading to Death Valley in about three weeks - I can't wait to put the 14mm to use!

so, the new 14 yesterday afternoon. the daybed test shot is pretty much unmanipulated f9@1/250 or so, no curvature correction but still spat out in C1/7+. maybe a bit of contrast added. i tend to do that.
the patio test (seating/chairs) f9@1/30 or so... didn't really pay attention, just interested in sharpness.
the patio (chairs) test has been curvature corrected in C1/7+ and a tad bit of contrast added for the afternoon backlight through the lattice work. i probably should have swept the gum leaves first but i was too exscited, kind of.
all up i think it is a really good lens. maybe lacking a little in contrast when set on Idiot but on manual it is play withable. at nearly an aussie grand with shipping from sydney (digitalcamerawarehouse.com.au) i think it'll prove to be a good lens in the bag. i will shoot a studio set this weekend, job, so we'll see how it works for pay.

If was not for my goal of 75% usage for dp Merrill cameras this year, I think the GAS would have already gotten to me. Hopefully, by the end of the year I will have saved up for the 14 and 27.
Thanks for the pics.

Gary...how you enjoying the Merrill? Seen your comments on the forums about it. I am looking into this camera, mainly for landscape...If it only had Bulb mode...
