Has anyone recently had a lens coded by Leica US? If so how long did it take to get your lens back?

Well, I had one coded at the same time that it was getting CLA'd last spring and it took the standard 7 weeks. Why don't you call and ask if it goes any faster with just the coding. Please post their response.

You'd think they could do better for something as simple as that. It would be nice if they'd just sell the flanges. They wouldn't be cheap but at least they'd be right. I wonder if DAG or anybody does sell them? And I mean the Leica version not the Chinese.

Has there been any improvement in the turnaround time? I thought I read, a while ago, that the turnaround was only 2 weeks. Now, checking for an update, I ran across this thread, stating 7 weeks! Does it still take that long?

I've sent several lenses to DAG for 6-bit coding and, if necessary, focus adjustment. For example it took 6 weeks in spring, 8 weeks in late summer, and four weeks in winter.

I've sent one lens to John Milich for coding, back in my hands 2 weeks later!

I understand that DAG sends the flanges to Mr Milich for machining.
