My M6's light meter doesn't work at all. I'm assuming it will require the meters circuit to be replace and was hoping someone here might know how much that usually costs.

Have you tried the usual, new battery, clean the battery contacts inside and the cover with an eraser..
I thought I had a bad meter a few years ago, it was residue on the contacts, a pencil eraser cleaned it right up..

have you tried working backwards through the problem? It could be a dirty connection, bend connection or some other things. For me, (and I know it's weird) I can't tighten up the winding washer too much and when I loosen it and push up the top plate, it starts working again. Not sure what the deal is there, but I would really try all you can before getting the circuit replaced. I hear it runs around $300.

Hi,
When I got my first M6 it had a problem with the meter as well,
it was the ISO dial there's a contact inside that was damaged
I replaced it myself, but you had to remove the rear panel and take
off the pressure plate to get at it but once it was done it worked,
but not seeing your camera it would be hard to tell.

Sorry for the lack of detail in my original post. The guy I bought it from was selling it saying the meter wasn't working so its not a new problem. Other than that it looks pristine so I couldn't pass it up for just $500. His dad recently bought it for $900 only to not want to shoot film after all and passed it on to him to use or sell. I have been talking about wanting to get one for years so he hooked me up on the cheap. I've just tried differently worded searches into Google with out finding any detail as to how much it will actually cost. I have tried cleaning all the connecters, all ISO settings, new batteries, and various amounts of pressure on the batteries.
