This lens appears to be terrifically underrated (although it does have its fans).
I think it's a great lens, very sharp and contrasty all the way up to f/2, and the distortion is minimal. Additionally, I've never had any issue with the apparent "focus shift issue" with this lens.
However, I bought the lens to use with my M4-P, which as 28mm lines, but I found myself not using the lens that much because it was a pain to see the lines, and I had a hard time taking in the whole scene.
Anyway, I found a good deal on a Leitz finder (one of the plastic ones), and now I use the lens all the time. The external viewfinder really turns it around for me--I can visualize the scene so much better.
Here are some recents. All new Portra 400.
*I just noticed that these are all interior/incandescent shots. Unintentional.
Tangent: However, I do like the way new Portra 400 handles incandescent light--I was never really big on color correcting it. For some reason, I think night interiors look more 'right' with orange/yellow casts from incandescents.
