This is a wonderful book. I just picked up a copy in a discount book store in NYC for 5 bucks. Wonderful images by Peter Moore.

Me too!, I wish they saved that as well, it was a beautiful station, when I go to
Long Island or New Jersey now I just go ugg.

A book you kind of wish didn't exist. But if the station is gone, at least we have the book. I wonder if they'll ever get it together to finally convert the post office building into a "new" Penn/Moynihan Station.
 
We still have 30th Street in Philly, Union Station in DC and LA. Yeah, the destruction of Penn Station sucks, but the backlash to that saved many others. At least we have some excellent photos left...
 
I've had a copy for years. Another great book on the same sad subject is The Late, Great Pennsylvania Station by Lorraine Diehl.
