Use this thread to add your feature request to the gallery. Keep it simple and down to one line if possible.
For example.
View photos taken by film only.
I will look into introducing the requests if doable into the next release.

Jorge, today as I was looking through the past week's images, I wanted to search for a particular member's work. Is it possible to do that? I couldn't figure out how to do it. Thanks.

The best camera is one that still works!
In the thumbnail view you are give a view count ... but not when you open the image. Previously the view account also appeared in the main image information ... that would be nice if that function returned. Aside from that it's great.

+1 for view count as Keith said.

While browsing the last week images I would like to be able to send a picture with a small text to a "last week bests" gallery to replace the tedious copy paste in a thread created manually to this effect.

I've just gotten the hang of the new Gallery (not the sharpest knife in the drawer) and all I can say is that you have done a superb job with it.
I love the way you can pick a day to look at and tab through the whole day (or another day) with all the links to individual galleries of photogs who intrigue you.
Thanks so much for doing all this work - it is greatly appreciated.
Oh, yeah... A request... How about a faster mac for me?
Thanks

The random gallery images seem to be drawing from recent uploads which can get pretty repetitive. It was definitely more interesting to suddenly see an image from several years back that you remembered.

Also, it seems like there's much less info on camera, lens, film used, etc on the new gallery. I guess this is because the OP's dont take the time to enter it...

The other thing I've noticed is that if I don't find a lens in the drop down menu I can't seem seem to find a way to enter it manually.

It would be nice to have location info in photo view:
- member's location
- photo location
- member's location
- photo location

Usable Link To My Gallery
This is the URL for my pictures in the new gallery:

I believe the old gallery had the user ID in its' URL. How can I have a link to my gallery if my user ID is not part of this address?

1. The new gallery shrinks photo sizes and makes people click the image to view it in its intended size, and there is now always an "X" to close the window in the top left of the image when expanded to true size. This is a distraction and cheapens the image like a bad watermark... this needs to change
2. You can no longer right click on an image to save it to desktop or copy the images location for showing it in other posts. I used this all the time to show my work-- one of the reasons I used the RFF gallery in the first place... this needs to change
3. When I navigate back and forth between the forum and the gallery, it always opens a new window for the gallery... this needs to change
That's all I have at the moment, but if I am doing something wrong or these are easily fixed on my end, please let me know my error!
Thanks!

As I use the gallery more I keep seeing things that don't work for me. The upload limit being raised to twenty five images makes no sense to me ... five was fine and it kept the gallery far more diverse on it's home page. I logged on today to discover that someone has indeed uploaded the maximum and couldn't help but notice that it made it pretty uninteresing.

While I enjoy the new Gallery immensely
I think the maximum photo posting should be tweeked a bit. 25 is just to many and takes away from the gallery's impact, rendering the home page un-interesting at times. Maybe back to 5...Max.

+1 for limit of 5 images.

+1 for:
- limiting new gallery photo postings to max 5 per day to make gallery browsing more representative and less tedious
- random gallery image to be, well, random. I'm seeing the same photos repeated over and over. This has throttled the Random Gallery Picks thread.
